REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Disconnect the 4 ultrasonic sensor connectors.

    2. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. for Corner Sensor:

        *B for LH Side

        Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

    2. A01FFTX

      for Back Sensor:

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. A01FESX

      Detach the 4 claws and remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer from the rear bumper cover.

      Tech Tips


      • The illustration shows the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer for the RH corner. The vertical orientation of the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainers for the LH corner and back sensor LH and RH is opposite that of the image shown in the illustration.

      • Use the same procedure for all ultrasonic sensor retainers.

  4. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION LH

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. A01FGB9

      Remove the 2 screws, and then remove the grommet and rear bumper extension.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PLATE RH


    1. A01FETU

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear bumper plate.

  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CENTER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 6 clips and 10 retainers.

    2. Detach the 2 guides and remove the rear bumper center extension.

  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD LH


    1. A01FG27

      Remove the rear bumper pad.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR LH


    1. A01FE0A

      Remove the rear bumper protector.

  10. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01FFAT

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the reflex reflector.

  11. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  12. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR

    Use the same procedure for both rear bumper protectors.
