REAR BUMPER DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Disconnect the 4 connectors.

    2. Detach the 4 clamps and remove the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

      Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer from the front bumper cover.

    2. Remove the old double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

      Tech Tips


      • The illustration shows the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer for the LH corner and back sensor retainer. The vertical orientation of the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer for the corner sensor retainer RH is opposite that of the image shown in the illustration.

      • Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainers.

  4. REMOVE ULTRASONIC SENSOR CLIP (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for all ultrasonic sensor clips.

      Using a screwdriver, detach the claw and remove the ultrasonic sensor clip from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  5. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION LH

      Remove the 2 clips.

    2. A01FGB9

      Remove the 2 screws, and then remove the grommet and rear bumper extension.

  6. REMOVE REAR BUMPER EXTENSION RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  7. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PLATE RH


    1. A01FETU

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the rear bumper plate.

  8. REMOVE REAR BUMPER CENTER EXTENSION SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Remove the 6 clips and 10 retainers.

    2. Detach the 2 guides and remove the rear bumper center extension.

  9. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PAD LH

      Remove the rear bumper pad.

  10. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR LH

      Remove the rear bumper protector.

  11. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01FFAT

      Remove the screw.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the reflex reflector.

  12. REMOVE REFLEX REFLECTOR ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  13. REMOVE REAR BUMPER PROTECTOR

    Use the same procedure for both rear bumper protectors.


    1. Remove the rear bumper protector.
