FRONT BUMPER (except Sport Package) REASSEMBLY


  1. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER PAD

    Tech Tips

    When installing the front bumper pad, heat the front bumper cover using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Front Bumper Cover 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the front bumper cover excessively.


    1. When using a new front bumper cover:


      1. Clean the surface of a new front bumper cover.

      2. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

    2. When reusing the front bumper cover:


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover surface.

      2. Remove the double-sided tape from the front bumper cover.

      3. Wipe off any tape adhesive residue with cleaner.

      Install a new front bumper pad.


      1. Using a heat light, heat the front bumper cover.

      2. Remove the peeling paper from the face of the front bumper pad.

        Tech Tips

        After removing the peeling paper, keep the exposed adhesive free from foreign matter.

      3. Install the front bumper pad.

        Tech Tips

        Press the front bumper pad firmly to install it.

  2. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER LOWER COVER


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the front bumper lower cover.

  3. INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER LH


    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the fog light cover.

  4. INSTALL FOG LIGHT COVER RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  5. INSTALL NO. 2 RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH


    1. Attach the 3 claws to install the No. 2 radiator grille garnish.

    2. Install the 2 screws.

  6. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE GARNISH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 2 radiator grille garnish.

  7. INSTALL FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Attach the 2 guides to install the fog light assembly LH.

    2. Install the screw.

  8. INSTALL FOG LIGHT ASSEMBLY RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  9. INSTALL LOWER NO. 1 RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. Attach the 16 claws to install the lower No. 1 radiator grille.

  10. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE


    1. Attach the 10 claws to install the radiator grille.

    2. Install the 2 screws and 2 clips.

  11. INSTALL RADIATOR GRILLE PROTECTOR


    1. Attach the 16 clips to install the radiator grille protector.

  12. INSTALL FRONT BUMPER EXTENSION MOUNTING BRACKET


    1. Install the front bumper extension mounting bracket with the 2 screws.

  13. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)


    1. A01FIHA

      Install the spring nut to the headlight washer actuator sub-assembly LH.

    2. A01FDT7E01

      Push the tab shown by allow (1) and engage the 2 claws as shown in the illustration.

    3. Install the headlight washer actuator sub-assembly with the screw.

    4. for Sport Package:


      1. Install the clamp to the front bumper cover.

  14. INSTALL HEADLIGHT WASHER ACTUATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  15. INSTALL HEADLIGHT CLEANER WASHER NOZZLE COVER (w/ Headlight Cleaner System)

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for both headlight cleaner washer nozzle covers.


    1. Engage the 2 claws to install the headlight cleaner washer nozzle cover.

  16. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR RETAINER (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)

      for RH Corner Sensor, Front LH Sensor:

      Attach the 4 claws and install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer to the front bumper cover.

      Tech Tips

      When installing the retainer, align the keyhole and slit as shown in the illustration.

      for LH Corner Sensor, Front RH Sensor:

      Attach the 4 claws and install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer to the front bumper cover.

      Tech Tips

      When installing the retainer, align the keyhole and slit as shown in the illustration.

  17. INSTALL NO. 4 ENGINE ROOM WIRE (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. for Sport Package:

      Attach the 9 clamps to install the No. 4 engine room wire.

    2. except Sport Package:

      Attach the 10 clamps to install the No. 4 engine room wire.

  18. INSTALL NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System)


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor to the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor retainer.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.

    2. for Corner Sensor, LH Side:

      Attach the claw to install the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor clip to the No. 4 engine room wire.

    3. Connect the connector.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for all No. 1 ultrasonic sensors.
