NAME PLATE REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE SYMBOL EMBLEM

    Tech Tips

    When removing the symbol emblem, heat the vehicle body and symbol emblem using a heat light.

    Standard
    Item Temperature
    Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
    Symbol Emblem 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or symbol emblem excessively.

      Put protective tape around the symbol emblem.

    2. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and symbol emblem.

      Tech Tips

      Be careful of the boss positions.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the symbol emblem to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the symbol emblem.

  2. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR NAME PLATE

    Tech Tips

    When removing the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate, heat the vehicle body and No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate using a heat light.

    No. 1 Luggage Compartment Door Name Plate 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)

    Note

    Do not heat the vehicle body or No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate excessively.

      Put protective tape around the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate.

    2. Insert piano wire between the vehicle body and No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate.

    3. Tie objects that can serve as handles (for example, wooden blocks) to the piano wire ends.

    4. Pull the piano wire and scrape off the double-sided tape that holds the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate to the vehicle body.

      Note

      Be careful not to damage the vehicle body.

    5. Remove the No. 1 luggage compartment door name plate.

  3. REMOVE NO. 3 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR PLATE (for 2GR-FSE 2WD)

    Tech Tips

    When removing the No. 3 luggage compartment door plate, heat the vehicle body and No. 3 luggage compartment door plate using a heat light.

    • Use the same procedure for both front fender No. 2 name plates.

    • When removing the front fender No. 2 name plate, heat the vehicle body and front fender No. 2 name plate using a heat light.
