REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the clamp and guide to install the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

  2. INSTALL REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

      Install the rear turn signal light bulb to the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

    2. Turn the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to install the socket.

  3. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS GASKET LH


    1. install the rear combination light lens gasket LH to the rear combination light lens and body LH.

  4. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT GUIDE


    1. install the rear combination light guide to the body.

  5. INSTALL UPPER REAR BUMPER RETAINER LH


    1. Attach the 2 claws and install the upper rear bumper retainer LH.

  6. INSTALL REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH


    1. Attach the 2 clips, guide and install the rear combination light assembly LH.

    2. Attach the clamp.

    3. Install the 3 nuts.

      Torque:
      4.5 N*m  { 46 kgf*cm, 40 in.*lbf }

    4. Connect the connector.

  7. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM INNER COVER LH


    1. Attach the clip to install the luggage compartment trim inner cover LH.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the clip.

    3. Install the clip.

  8. INSTALL ROPE HOOK


    1. Attach the clip to install the luggage compartment trim inner cover LH.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the clip.

    3. Install the 2 clips.

  9. INSTALL FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER


    1. Attach the 3 guides to install the rear luggage compartment trim cover.

    2. Install the 5 clips.

    3. Install the 3 No. 2 luggage compartment trim hooks.

  10. INSTALL REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE


    1. Attach the 6 clips to install the rear floor finish plate.

    2. Install the 3 clips.

  11. INSTALL REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER


    1. Attach the 3 guides to install the rear luggage compartment trim cover.

    2. Install the 5 clips.

    3. Install the 3 No. 2 luggage compartment trim hooks.

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FIIF

      Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 1 luggage compartment light assembly.

  13. INSTALL NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook.

  14. INSTALL REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET LH


    1. Attach the claw to install the rear luggage compartment tray bracket LH.

    2. Install the clip.

  15. INSTALL REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  16. INSTALL ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for all rope hooks.


    1. Install the rope hook assembly with the bolt.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to close the cover.

  17. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRAY (w/ Spare Tire)


    1. Install the luggage compartment side tray.

  18. INSTALL SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY


    1. w/o Spare Tire:


      1. Install the spare wheel cover tray.

    2. w/ Spare Tire, for Type B:


      1. Install the spare wheel cover tray.

  19. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX (w/o Spare Tire)


    1. Install the luggage compartment trim box.

  20. INSTALL SIDE TRIM BOX LH


    1. Install the side trim box LH.

  21. INSTALL SIDE TRIM BOX


    1. Install the side trim box.

  22. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH


    1. Install the luggage compartment trim cover LH.

  23. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH


    1. Install the luggage compartment trim cover RH.

  24. INSTALL LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


    1. Install the luggage compartment floor mat.

  25. INSTALL REAR BUMPER COVER


    1. w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Connect the connector of the No. 3 luggage room wire.

    2. Attach the 20 claws to install the rear bumper cover.

    3. Install the 2 screws.

    4. Install the screw, and then install the rear bumper seal bracket.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for both screws and rear bumper seal brackets.

    5. Install the 4 clips and 2 screws.

  26. INSTALL REAR BUMPER NO. 1 PLATE


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the rear bumper No. 1 plate.
