REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE REAR BUMPER NO. 1 PLATE

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, detach the 2 claws and remove the rear bumper No. 1 plate.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

  2. REMOVE REAR BUMPER COVER

      Remove the 4 clips and 2 screws.

    2. A01FIM6

      Remove the screw, and then remove the rear bumper seal bracket.

      Tech Tips

      Use the same procedure for both screws and rear bumper seal brackets.

      Remove the 2 screws.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear bumper cover.

    5. Detach the 20 claws and remove the rear bumper cover.

    6. w/ LEXUS Parking Assist-sensor System:


      1. Disconnect the connector of the No. 3 luggage room wire.

  3. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR MAT


    1. Remove the luggage compartment floor mat.

  4. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER LH


    1. Remove the luggage compartment trim cover LH.

  5. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER RH


    1. Remove the luggage compartment trim cover RH.

  6. REMOVE SIDE TRIM BOX LH


    1. Remove the side trim box LH.

  7. REMOVE SIDE TRIM BOX


    1. Remove the side trim box.

  8. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT SIDE TRAY (w/ Spare Tire)


    1. Remove the luggage compartment side tray.

  9. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM BOX (w/o Spare Tire)


    1. Remove the luggage compartment trim box.

  10. REMOVE SPARE WHEEL COVER TRAY


    1. w/o Spare Tire:


      1. Remove the spare wheel cover tray.

    2. w/ Spare Tire, for Type B:


      1. Remove the spare wheel cover tray.

  11. REMOVE ROPE HOOK ASSEMBLY

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for all rope hooks.


    1. Detach the 2 claws and open the cover.

    2. A01FIX3

      Remove the bolt and rope hook assembly.

  12. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET LH


    1. A01FIOM

      Remove the clip.

    2. Detach the claw and remove the rear luggage compartment tray bracket LH.

  13. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRAY BRACKET RH

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the LH side.

  14. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM HOOK

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 luggage compartment trim hook.

  15. REMOVE NO. 1 LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT LIGHT ASSEMBLY

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver wrapped with protective tape, detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 1 luggage compartment light assembly.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

  16. REMOVE REAR LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER

    1. Remove the 3 No. 2 luggage compartment trim hooks as shown in the illustration.

    2. A01FFE0

      Remove the 5 clips.

    3. Detach the guide and remove the rear luggage compartment trim cover.

  17. REMOVE REAR FLOOR FINISH PLATE


    1. A01FEJQ

      Remove the 3 clips.

    2. A01FF5K

      Detach the 6 clips and remove the rear floor finish plate.

  18. REMOVE FRONT LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM COVER


    1. A01FEJF

      Remove the 3 clips, 2 nuts and front luggage compartment trim cover.

  19. REMOVE ROPE HOOK

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for both rope hooks.


    1. Pinch the rope hook as indicated by the arrows in the illustration to remove the rope hook.

  20. REMOVE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT TRIM INNER COVER LH

    1. Using a clip remover, remove the clip.

    2. Detach the 2 claws and remove the clip.

    3. Detach the clip and remove the luggage compartment trim inner cover LH.

  21. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT ASSEMBLY LH

      *1 Protective Tape

      Put protective tape around the rear combination light assembly LH.

    2. Disconnect the connector.

    3. Remove the 3 nuts.

    4. Detach the clamp.

    5. Detach the 2 clamps, guide and remove the rear combination light assembly LH.

  22. REMOVE UPPER REAR BUMPER RETAINER LH

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the upper rear bumper retainer LH.

  23. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT GUIDE


    1. Remove the rear combination light guide from the body.

  24. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT LENS GASKET LH


    1. Remove the rear combination light lens gasket LH from the rear combination light lens and body LH.

  25. REMOVE REAR TURN SIGNAL LIGHT BULB

      Turn the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration and remove the socket and bulb.

    2. Remove the rear turn signal light bulb from the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

  26. REMOVE REAR COMBINATION LIGHT SOCKET AND WIRE SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01FGRT

      Detach the clamp and guide and remove the rear combination light socket and wire sub-assembly LH.

    2. Disconnect the connector.
