HIGH INTENSITY DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. INSTALL DISCHARGE HEADLIGHT BULB


    1. A01FFLY

      Lock the set spring as shown in the illustration to install the discharge headlight bulb.

      Note

      Do not touch the discharge headlight bulb glass.

  2. INSTALL HEADLIGHT GASKET


    1. Install the new headlight gasket to the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH.

  3. INSTALL HEADLIGHT LIGHT CONTROL ECU SUB-ASSEMBLY LH


    1. A01FEUL

      Turn the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH socket in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to connect the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH socket.

      Note


      • Check that the headlight gasket is installed on the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH.

      • Check that the headlight gasket is not damaged or contaminated with foreign matter. If there is any damage, replace the headlight gasket with a new one.

      • Do not pull the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH with the socket connected.

    2. A01FI59

      Turn the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH in the direction indicated by the arrow in the illustration to install the headlight light control ECU sub-assembly LH to the headlight unit LH.

    3. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL NO. 1 FRONT FENDER SPLASH SHIELD SEAL


    1. Attach the 2 guides.

    2. Install the No. 1 front fender splash shield seal with the 2 screws.

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL

    When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.
