DESCRIPTION

The headlight swivel ECU receives signals indicating the steering angle from the spiral with sensor cable (steering angle sensor) using CAN communication.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • When installing the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly and steering wheel, be sure to adjust the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly as it may break if the steering wheel is turned before adjusting the spiral with sensor cable sub-assembly Click here.

  • First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this DTC.

  • After replacing the headlight swivel ECU, perform initialization and registration of vehicle information Click here.

    1. Temporarily replace the spiral with sensor cable with a new or normally functioning one Click here.
