HOOD SUPPORT REMOVAL

CAUTION:

Remove the hood support while holding the hood.

Note


  • Do not touch the extendable portion of the rod to prevent foreign objects from attaching to the hood support surface.

  • Do not push the hood support sideways because the hood support may bend.

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for the RH and LH sides.

  • The procedure listed below is for the LH side.


  1. REMOVE HOOD SUPPORT ASSEMBLY LH

    CAUTION:

    Remove the hood support while holding the hood.

      *1 Protective Tape

      Using a screwdriver, remove the 2 stop rings as indicated by the arrows in the order shown in the illustration.

      Tech Tips

      Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

    2. Detach the 2 ball joints and then remove the hood support.

  2. REMOVE HOOD STAY BRACKET LH

      Remove the bolt and hood stay bracket.

  3. REMOVE HOOD SUPPORT BRACKET LH

      Remove the 2 bolts and hood support bracket.
