DESCRIPTION

DTC B2251 is output when there is a malfunction in the half-latch switch circuit of the luggage compartment door lock assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • When using the GTS with the engine switch off to troubleshoot:

    Connect the GTS to the DLC3 and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5-seconds intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (HALF-LATCH SWITCH)


    1. Check the Data List for proper functioning of the luggage compartment door closer Click here.

      • When this item is abnormal, there is a problem with the half-latch switch of the luggage compartment door lock assembly or related parts.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (LUGGAGE CLOSER MOTOR ASSEMBLY - LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the U33 luggage closer motor assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the a9 luggage compartment door lock assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      U33-7 (HAF) - a9-6 (FSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      U33-7 (HAF) or a9-6 (FSW) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  5. REPLACE LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT DOOR LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. Temporarily replace the luggage compartment door lock assembly with a new one Click here.
