DESCRIPTION

When a new driving support ECU is installed, the new ECU receives and stores country specification information from the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). DTC C1A02 is stored when the driving support ECU receives the vehicle specification information from the main body ECU but cannot record it.

C1A02 While the engine switch is on (IG) and the pre-collision system is operating, the vehicle information in the driving support ECU has not been set for 1 second or more while the vehicle is being driven at a speed of 50 km/h (31 mph) or more.

      Tech Tips

      The country specification information stored in the driving support ECU is determined by the country specification information stored in the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU). If the country specification information for the millimeter wave radar sensor matches the vehicle, the country specification information for the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and driving support ECU is incorrect and the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) and driving support ECU need to be replaced.

      Note

      When replacing the driving support ECU, always replace it with a new one and be sure to perform initialization Click here. If an ECU which was installed to another vehicle is used, the information stored in the ECU will not match the information from the vehicle, and as a result, a DTC may be stored.
