INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • First perform the communication function inspections in How to Proceed with Troubleshooting to confirm that there are no CAN communication malfunctions before troubleshooting this symptom.

  • Inspect the bulbs for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING GTS (COURTESY LIGHT)


    1. Using the GTS, perform the Active Test Click here.

      Front Left Door

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT COURTESY LIGHT RH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU RH AND BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the Q4 front multiplex network door ECU RH.

    2. Disconnect the Q15 front courtesy light RH connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q15-1 - Body ground Battery saving control not operating 11 to 14 V
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q15-2 - Q4-13 (CYL) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q15-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT COURTESY LIGHT LH - FRONT MULTIPLEX NETWORK DOOR ECU LH AND BATTERY)


    1. Disconnect the Q19 front multiplex network door ECU LH connector.

    2. Disconnect the Q30 front courtesy light LH connector.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q30-1 - Body ground Battery saving control not operating 11 to 14 V
    4. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      Q30-2 - Q19-13 (CYL) Always Below 1 Ω
      Q30-2 - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
