LIGHTING SYSTEM IG Signal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

This circuit detects whether the engine switch is on (IG) or off, and sends this information to the main body ECU.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  • Recognition code registration is necessary when replacing the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU).

  • If the main body ECU (multiplex network body ECU) is replaced, refer to the Service Bulletin.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS (IG SW)


    1. Using the GTS, read the Data List Click here.

      ON: Engine switch on (IG)

      OFF: Engine switch off

      		 "OFF" is also displayed for this item when the engine switch is on (ACC).

      The display is as specified in the normal condition column.

      Disconnect the cowl side junction block LH connectors.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      5E-1 - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      5A-35 - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      5B-1 - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

  3. CHECK COWL SIDE JUNCTION BLOCK LH

      Remove the cowl side junction block LH Click here.

    2. Reconnect the 5A, 5B and 5E cowl side junction block LH connectors.

    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage

      A-32 (IG) - Body ground Engine switch on (IG) 11 to 14 V
