ENGINE HOOD COURTESY SWITCH REMOVAL

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. REMOVE ENGINE ROOM COVER SIDE


    1. A01FGMK

      Remove the 4 clips and engine room side cover.

  2. REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL

      Remove the 7 clips and cool air intake duct seal.

  3. REMOVE MILLIMETER WAVE RADAR SENSOR ASSEMBLY (w/ Dynamic Radar Cruise Control System)


    1. A01FFLW

      Disconnect the connector.

    2. Detach the clamp.

    3. A01FDPT

      Remove the 3 bolts and millimeter wave radar sensor assembly.

  4. REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE COVER


    1. A01FGRP

      Disconnect the connector and remove the 2 clamps.

    2. Detach the 2 clips and remove the hood lock control cable cover.

  5. REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FF6F

      Remove the 3 bolts and disconnect the hood lock assembly from the upper radiator support sub-assembly.

    2. A01FDKT

      Move the hood lock assembly as shown in the illustration to remove it from the upper radiator support.

    3. A01FECI

      Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

      Note

      Do not excessively bend the hood lock control cable assembly.
