ENGINE IMMOBILISER SYSTEM DTC CHECK / CLEAR

Tech Tips


  • When using the GTS with the engine switch off to troubleshoot: Connect the GTS to the DLC3 and turn a courtesy light switch on and off at 1.5 seconds intervals until communication between the GTS and vehicle begins.

  • Refer to the GTS operator's manual for further details.


  1. CHECK FOR IMMOBILISER DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry & Start / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

  2. CHECK FOR ECM DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

    5. Check for DTCs.

  3. CLEAR IMMOBILISER DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Entry & Start / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs.

  4. CLEAR ECM DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Powertrain / Engine / Trouble Codes.

    5. Clear the DTCs.
