NIGHT VIEW SYSTEM Multi-display does not Change to Night View Screen

DESCRIPTION

When the No. 1 night view ECU receives the switch signal from the night view switch, the ECU outputs a night view display request signal to the multi-media module receiver assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When the No. 1 night view ECU is replaced, perform night view camera adjustment Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK FOR DTC


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the ignition switch on (IG) and turn the GTS on.

    3. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    4. Clear the DTCs.

    5. Turn the ignition switch off.

    6. Wait 6 seconds after turning the ignition switch off, and then turn the ignition switch on (IG).

    7. Enter the following menus: System Select / Health Check.

    8. Check for DTCs.

  2. READ VALUE USING GTS (NIGHT VIEW MAIN SWITCH)

      "ON" is output while the night view switch is being pressed.

  3. REPLACE NO. 1 NIGHT VIEW ECU


    1. Temporarily replace the No. 1 night view ECU with a new or normally functioning one Click here.

  6. INSPECT SATELLITE SWITCH SET

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

  7. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (SATELLITE SWITCH SET [NIGHT VIEW SWITCH] - NO. 1 NIGHT VIEW ECU AND BODY GROUND)


    1. Disconnect the N42 satellite switch set (night view switch) connector.

    2. Disconnect the T53 No. 1 night view ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N42-3 (NVM) - T53-13 (NVSW) Always Below 1 Ω
      N42-4 (E) - Body ground
      N42-3 (NVM) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
