LEXUS PARKING ASSIST-SENSOR SYSTEM Clearance Sonar Main Switch Circuit

DESCRIPTION

The back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly is installed at the base of the driver side instrument panel.

When the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly is turned on, an ON signal is sent to the clearance warning ECU assembly. The LEXUS parking assist-sensor system operates according to this signal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

Inspect the fuse for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

PROCEDURE


  1. READ VALUE USING GTS


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Turn the engine switch on (IG).

    3. Turn the GTS on.

    4. Enter the following menus: Body Electrical / Clearance Sonar / Data List.

    5. According to the display on the GTS, read the Data List.

      • The display changes as shown above when the clearance sonar main switch is operated.


      • "Normal" is displayed.

      • The display does not change as shown above when the clearance sonar main switch is operated.

    1. Remove the back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly Click here.

      Disconnect the connector from back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly.

    2. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BACK SONAR OR CLEARANCE SONAR SWITCH ASSEMBLY - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the N10 connector from clearance warning ECU assembly.

    2. Disconnect the N57 connector from back sonar or clearance sonar switch assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
