DESCRIPTION

The No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor LH) is installed on the front bumper. The ECU detects obstacles based on signals received from the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor LH). If the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor LH) has an open circuit or other malfunction, it will not function normally.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

If DTCs are output after repairs, turn the engine switch on (IG) and turn the clearance sonar main switch on. Then clear the DTCs Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. INSPECT NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT CENTER SENSOR LH)


    1. Remove the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor LH) Click here.

    2. Inspect the No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor LH) Click here.

    REPLACE NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT CENTER SENSOR LH) Click here

    OK

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NO. 1 ULTRASONIC SENSOR (FRONT CENTER SENSOR LH) - CLEARANCE WARNING ECU ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the D6 No. 1 ultrasonic sensor (front center sensor LH) connector.

    2. Disconnect the N10 clearance warning ECU assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      D6-2 (S) - N10-25 (S8) Always Below 1 Ω
      D6-1 (E) - N10-26 (E8) Always Below 1 Ω
      D6-2 (S) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      D6-1 (E) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
