DESCRIPTION

If the telematics transceiver detects an error in the communication between the telematics transceiver and map light assembly (emergency call switch) as a result of the telematics transceiver self check, this DTC will be stored.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Depending on the parts that are replaced during vehicle inspection or maintenance, performing initialization, registration or calibration may be needed. Refer to Precaution for G-BOOK Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC OUTPUT


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      B15C5 is not output.

    OK
  2. INSPECT MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FFBVE14

      Remove the map light assembly Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      17 (SIG1) - 21 (GND3) Emergency call switch not operated 410 to 414 Ω
      17 (SIG1) - 21 (GND3) Emergency call switch operated 81 to 83 Ω

  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (TELEMATICS TRANSCEIVER - MAP LIGHT ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the N168 telematics transceiver connector.

    2. Disconnect the Y11 map light assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N168-27 (SIG1) - Y11-17 (SIG1) Always Below 1 Ω
      N168-26 (SIG-) - Y11-21 (GND3) Always Below 1 Ω
      N168-27 (SIG1) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      N168-26 (SIG-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
