DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the hard disk drive, which is built into the multi-media module receiver assembly, has an initialization malfunction or read/write errors occur more than a specified number of times.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARD DISK DRIVE (OPERATION CHECK)


    1. A01FIA5

      Enter the "HDD Check" screen. Refer to Check Hard Disk Drive in Operation Check Click here.

    2. Select "HDD Check" and check the result.

      OK
      "OK" is displayed.

      Tech Tips

      After "HDD Check" is selected, it may take a while until the result is displayed.

    REPLACE HARD DISC DRIVE (HDD) Click here

    OK

  2. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.


    NEXT

  3. CHECK DTC


    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

      Tech Tips

      The hard disk drive may be malfunctioning even if DTC B15B8 is not output.

  4. REPLACE HARD DISC DRIVE (HDD)


    1. Replace the Hard disc drive (HDD) with a new or normally functioning one Click here.
