DESCRIPTION

The combination meter mirror ECU and multi-media module receiver assembly are connected by the AVC-LAN communication line. When an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the combination meter mirror ECU and the multi-media module receiver assembly, this DTC will be stored.

Inspect the fuses for circuits related to this system before performing the following inspection procedure.

  1. CLEAR DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.


    NEXT
  2. CHECK DTC


    1. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again Click here.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    OK
  3. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COMBINATION METER MIRROR ECU - BATTERY AND BODY GROUND)

      Disconnect the combination meter mirror ECU connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P1-4 (ES) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Voltage
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      P1-2 (+B) - Body ground Always 11 to 14 V
      P1-5 (ACC) - Body ground Engine switch on (ACC) 11 to 14 V

  4. INSPECT MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY

      Remove the multi-media module receiver assembly Click here.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      24 (TX2+) - 25 (TX2-) Always 60 to 80 Ω

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (MULTI-MEDIA MODULE RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - COMBINATION METER MIRROR ECU)


    1. Disconnect the N162 multi-media module receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the P1 combination meter mirror ECU connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      N162-24 (TX2+) - P1-11 (MPX1) Always Below 1 Ω
      N162-25 (TX2-) - P1-12 (MPX2) Always Below 1 Ω
      N162-24 (TX2+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩor higher
      N162-25 (TX2-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩor higher

  6. REPLACE COMBINATION METER MIRROR ECU


    1. Replace the combination meter mirror ECU with a new or normally functioning one Click here.
