STEERING SYSTEM PRECAUTION

  1. HANDLING PRECAUTIONS FOR STEERING SYSTEM

Before servicing (including inspection, replacement, removal and installation of parts), be sure to read the precautionary notices for the Supplemental Restraint System Click here.

  3. HANDLING PRECAUTIONS FOR VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM

    1. Be sure to perform variable gear ratio steering system calibration when the connectors are disconnected from the steering actuator assembly and/or steering control ECU or after adjusting off-center steering Click here.

  4. PRECAUTIONS WHEN PERFORMING STEERING OFF CENTER ADJUSTMENT

    1. When adjusting the steering off center, always adjust the rear (dynamic rear steering system) steering off center before adjusting the front (VGRS system) steering off center.
