STEERING CONTROL ECU INSTALLATION

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. INSTALL STEERING CONTROL ECU


    1. Install the steering control ECU with the 2 bolts.

      Torque:
      8.5 N*m  { 87 kgf*cm, 75 in.*lbf }
    2. Connect the 4 connectors.

  2. INSTALL GLOVE COMPARTMENT DOOR ASSEMBLY

    1. Connect the connectors and attach the clamp.

    2. Attach the 6 clips to install the glove compartment door assembly.

    3. Install the 3 screws <A> and 2 bolts <E>.

  3. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL UNDER COVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the connectors and attach the clamp.

    2. Attach the 5 clips and 2 guides to install the No. 2 instrument panel under cover sub-assembly.

  4. INSTALL INSTRUMENT SIDE PANEL LH


    1. Attach the 7 clips to install the instrument side panel LH.

  5. CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL


    1. Connect the cable to the negative battery terminal.

      Torque:
      5.5 N*m  { 56 kgf*cm, 49 in.*lbf }

      Note

      When disconnecting the cable, some systems need to be initialized after the cable is reconnected Click here.

  6. PERFORM VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM CALIBRATION
