DESCRIPTION
If an incorrect power steering ECU, ECM, absorber control ECU, VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) or DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU) is installed, DTC C1582/26 is stored as the vehicle specification and data do not match.
Tech Tips
The assist map is data written in the power steering ECU to control the degree of power assist. The assist map is selected based on the vehicle specified communication data.
| DTC Code | DTC Detection Condition | Trouble Area |
|---|---|---|
| C1582/26 | Data that does not match the vehicle specification is received through CAN communication. |
|
INSPECTION PROCEDURE
Note
If the power steering ECU assembly is replaced with a new one, perform assist map writing, clear the motor rotation angle sensor calibration value, initialize the motor rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point Click here.
When replacing the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU), perform actuator angle neutral position calibration and initialization after replacement Click here.
When replacing the DRS ECU (rear steering control ECU), perform neutral position memorization and motor rotation angle sensor calibration Click here.
