DESCRIPTION

The power steering ECU sends and receives steering cooperative control information to and from the skid control ECU and VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU) via CAN communication.

  • Vehicle stability control system

  • Variable gear ratio steering system

  • Skid control ECU (brake actuator assembly)

  • VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU)

  • Power steering ECU assembly

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note


  • If the power steering ECU assembly is replaced with a new one, perform assist map writing, clear the motor rotation angle sensor calibration value, initialize the motor rotation angle sensor value and calibrate the torque sensor zero point Click here.

  • When replacing the VGRS ECU (front steering control ECU), perform actuator angle neutral position calibration and initialization after replacement Click here.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK VEHICLE STABILITY CONTROL SYSTEM


    1. Using the GTS, check for DTCs and confirm that there are no problems in the vehicle stability control system Click here.

  2. CHECK VARIABLE GEAR RATIO STEERING SYSTEM


    1. Using the GTS, check for DTCs and confirm that there are no problems in the variable gear ratio steering system Click here.
