  1. INSPECT REAR SUNSHADE SWITCH ASSEMBLY

    (Rear Sunshade Switch Assembly)


    1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
      3 (ECU) - 4 (E)

      Rear sunshade switch on

      (Pushed)

      Below 1 Ω
      3 (ECU) - 4 (E)

      Rear sunshade switch off

      (Not pushed)

      10 kΩ or higher

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear sunshade switch assembly.

      Component without harness connected

      (Rear Sunshade Switch Assembly)

      Apply battery voltage to the switch connector and check that the rear sunshade switch illuminates.

      OK
      Measurement Condition Specified Condition

      Battery positive (+) → Terminal 2 (ILL+)

      Battery negative (-) → Terminal 5 (ILL-)

      Illuminates

      If the result is not as specified, replace the rear sunshade switch assembly.
