INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD REASSEMBLY

Tech Tips


  • Use the same procedure for RHD and LHD vehicles.

  • The procedure listed below is for LHD vehicles.


  1. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. w/ Headup Display:


      1. Install the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish to the instrument panel sub-assembly with the 9 screws <A>.

        *1 Instrument Panel Sub-assembly *2 No. 1 Defroster Nozzle Garnish

      2. Attach the 3 claws to install the instrument panel sub-assembly together with the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish.

      3. Install the 27 screws <A>.

    2. w/o Headup Display:


      1. Install the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish to the instrument panel sub-assembly with the 9 screws <A>.

      2. Attach the 3 claws to install the instrument panel sub-assembly together with the No. 1 defroster nozzle garnish.

      3. Install the 28 screws <A>.

    3. Install the installation attachment for the instrument panel passenger airbag with the 8 nuts.

  2. INSTALL NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation System)

  3. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY


    1. Attach the 3 rear hooks of the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly to the rear of the airbag door.

    2. Push in the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly to attach the 3 front hooks to the front of the airbag door.

    3. Install the 2 screws to install the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly.

  4. INSTALL COMBINATION METER MIRROR ECU (w/ Headup Display)


    1. Install the combination meter mirror ECU with the 4 screws.

  5. INSTALL NO. 5 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE (w/ Headup Display)


    1. Connect the connector to install the No. 5 instrument panel wire.

  6. INSTALL AUTOMATIC LIGHT CONTROL SENSOR


    1. Connect the connector.

    2. Attach the 2 claws to install the automatic light control sensor.

  7. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL WIRE


    1. Connect the connector to install the No. 2 instrument panel wire.

  8. INSTALL NO. 5 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

    1. Install new No. 5 instrument panel cushions in the locations shown in the illustration using double-sided tape.

  9. INSTALL NO. 4 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

    1. Install a new No. 4 instrument panel cushion in the location shown in the illustration using double-sided tape.

  10. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

    1. Install a new No. 3 instrument panel cushion in the location shown in the illustration using double-sided tape.

  11. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION (w/o Headup Display)

    1. Install a new No. 2 instrument panel cushion in the location shown in the illustration using double-sided tape.

  12. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL CUSHION

    1. Install new No. 1 instrument panel cushions in the locations shown in the illustration using double-sided tape.

  13. INSTALL INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD RETAINER


    1. Install the instrument panel safety pad retainer with the 5 screws <A>.

  14. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PAD BRACKET

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure for both No. 3 instrument pad brackets.


    1. Install the No. 3 instrument pad bracket with the screw <A>.

  15. INSTALL NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PAD BRACKET


    1. Install the No. 2 instrument pad bracket with the 2 screws <A>.

  16. INSTALL NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN


    1. Install the No. 1 instrument panel pin with the screw <A>.

  17. INSTALL NO. 3 INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN

    Tech Tips

    Use the same procedure described for the No. 1 instrument panel pin.

  18. INSTALL NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. Install the No. 2 heater to register duct with the 2 screws <F>.

  19. INSTALL AIR DUCT SUB-ASSEMBLY (w/ Ion Generator)


    1. Attach the 2 claws to install the air duct sub-assembly.

    2. Install the clip.

  20. INSTALL NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. Install the No. 1 heater to register duct with the 3 screws <F>.

  21. INSTALL NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. Install the No. 3 heater to register duct with the 3 screws <F>.

  22. INSTALL DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY


    1. Install the defroster nozzle assembly with the 3 screws <F>.

    2. Attach the clamps.

  23. INSTALL NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT


    1. Attach the claw and 2 guides to install the No. 1 side defroster nozzle duct.

    2. Install the screw <F>.

  24. INSTALL NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT


    1. Attach the claw and 2 guides to install the No. 2 side defroster nozzle duct.

    2. Install the screw <F>.
