Check the air conditioning pressure sensor.

      1. Set the manifold gauge.

      2. Connect the connector to the pressure sensor.

      3. Warm up the engine.

      4. A/C switch is turned ON.

      5. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Voltage
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        9 (PRE) - 13 (SG-2)

        Refrigerant pressure:

        Normal pressure (less than 3.14 MPa [32.0 kg/cm2, 455 psi] and more than 0.196 MPa [2.0 kg/cm2, 28 psi])

        0.734 to 4.848 V
        9 (PRE) - 13 (SG-2)

        Refrigerant pressure:

        Abnormal (less than 0.196 MPa [2.0 kg/cm2, 28 psi])

        Below 0.734 V
        9 (PRE) - 13 (SG-2)

        Refrigerant pressure:

        Abnormal (more than 3.14 MPa 32.0 kg/cm2, 455 psi])

        4.848 V or higher

        Note

Check from the rear of the connector while it is connected to the air conditioning amplifier.

        Tech Tips

        • Because the air conditioning pressure sensor connector is waterproof and can not be checked, check the air conditioning amplifier assembly. Also, if the measurement is less than 1 V, open-circuit of the harness may occur.

        • The specified condition is the value included in the pressure deviation.

If the result is not as specified, replace the sensor.
