RELAY ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT PTC HEATER RELAY

      *1 No. 1 Relay Block

      for LHD:


      1. Remove the PTC heater relays from the No. 1 relay block.

      for RHD:


      1. Remove the PTC heater relays from the No. 1 relay block.

      *1 No. 2 Relay Block

      Remove the PTC heater relays from the No. 2 relay block.

    4. A01FI9XE01

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      3 - 5 Battery voltage not applied between terminals 1 and 2 10 kΩ or higher
      3 - 5 Battery voltage applied to terminals 1 and 2 Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the PTC heater relay.

    5. Install the PTC heater relay to the No. 1 relay block.

    6. Install the PTC heater relay to the No. 2 relay block.
