CANISTER (w/ Canister Pump Module) REMOVAL


  1. REMOVE REAR NO. 1 FLOOR BOARD SUB-ASSEMBLY

      Disconnect the 4 grommets and remove the 6 clips and rear No. 1 floor board.

  2. REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FG0B

      Disconnect the wire harness from the 3 clamps.

    2. A01FEPH

      Disconnect the 2 quick connectors, purge line hose and connector.

    3. A01FH64

      Remove the 3 nuts and charcoal canister assembly.

  3. REMOVE CHARCOAL CANISTER BASE BRACKET


    1. A01FFBT

      Disengage the claw and remove the charcoal canister base bracket.

  4. REMOVE CANISTER PUMP MODULE


    1. Before removing the canister pump module, clean the canister by blowing air into it to ensure that the canister is free of foreign matter.

      Note


      • Make sure to clean the canister using only air.

      • Do not use gasoline, thinners or solvents.

      While disengaging the 2 claws as shown in the illustration, push the canister pump module upwards using a screwdriver to remove it.

    3. Check if the canister contains foreign matter such as mud or water.


      1. A01FGAE

        Visually check that the inside of the canister is free of foreign matter.

      2. Hold the canister upside down to make sure that the canister is free of foreign matter.

        If the canister contains foreign matter, replace the canister.
