FUEL PUMP DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE FUEL SENDER GAUGE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01FEQAE01

      Disconnect the fuel sender gauge connector.

    2. Push the claw labeled A of the fuel sender gauge assembly, and then pull up the fuel sender gauge assembly to remove it.

      Note


      • Do not touch the resistance plate or contacts of the fuel sender gauge assembly.

      • Do not bend the arm of the fuel sender gauge assembly.

  2. REMOVE FUEL SUCTION PLATE SUB-ASSEMBLY

    Note


    • Do not disconnect the hose indicated in the illustration.

    • When replacing the fuel filter assembly, replace it together with the fuel suction plate sub-assembly.

      Disconnect the fuel pump harness from the clamp.

    2. Disconnect the fuel pump connector.

      Using needle nose pliers, remove the E-ring.

    4. Remove the fuel suction plate sub-assembly and spring from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

  3. REMOVE FUEL FILTER ASSEMBLY

      Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, detach the 2 claws and remove the fuel filter assembly from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

      Note

      Do not damage the No. 1 fuel sub-tank or fuel filter assembly.

  4. REMOVE JET PUMP

      Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, disengage the claw and remove the jet pump nozzle.

      Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, remove the jet pump from the No. 1 fuel sub-tank.

      *2 O-Ring

      Remove the O-ring from the jet pump.

  5. REMOVE FUEL PUMP HARNESS

      Remove the fuel pump connector from the fuel pump assembly.

  6. REMOVE NO. 1 FUEL SUCTION SUPPORT

      *2 No. 1 Fuel Suction Support

      Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, remove the No. 1 fuel suction support.

  7. REMOVE FUEL WITH FILTER PUMP ASSEMBLY

      Using a screwdriver with the tip taped, detach the 5 claws and remove the fuel filter from the fuel with filter pump assembly.

      Remove the O-ring and fuel pump spacer from the fuel pump.

  8. REMOVE FUEL MAIN VALVE ASSEMBLY

      Remove the fuel main valve assembly from the fuel filter assembly.

      Remove the 2 O-rings from the fuel main valve assembly.

  9. REMOVE FUEL PRESSURE REGULATOR ASSEMBLY

      Detach the 2 claws and remove the No. 2 fuel suction support from the fuel filter assembly.

    2. Remove the fuel pressure regulator assembly from the fuel filter assembly.

      Note

      Slowly pull out the fuel pressure regulator assembly because the O-ring is firmly installed between the fuel pressure regulator assembly and fuel filter assembly.

      Remove the 2 O-rings from the fuel pressure regulator assembly.
