CAMSHAFT OIL CONTROL VALVE INSTALLATION

INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Intake Side of Bank 2)

1.

   O-Ring

   Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the oil control valve.

2. Install the oil control valve with the bolt.

   Torque:

   10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

   Note

   
   

   • Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the camshaft timing oil control valve (the surface that contacts the cylinder head cover).

   • Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked when installing the camshaft timing oil control valve.

3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Exhaust Side of Bank 2)

   O-Ring

   Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the oil control valve.

2. Install the oil control valve with the bolt.

   Torque:

   10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

   Note

   
   

   • Do not allow foreign matter to contact the oil seal face of the camshaft timing oil control valve (the surface that contacts the cylinder head cover).

   • Be careful that the O-ring is not cracked when installing the camshaft timing oil control valve.

3. Connect the camshaft timing oil control valve connector.

4. Install the bracket with the bolt.

   Torque:

   21 N*m  { 214 kgf*cm, 15 ft.*lbf }

5. Connect the wiring harness at the bracket.

INSTALL CAMSHAFT TIMING OIL CONTROL VALVE (for Intake Side of Bank 1)

   Apply a light coat of engine oil to a new O-ring and install it to the oil control valve.

2. Install the oil control valve with the bolt.

   Torque:

   10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }

4. Install the V-bank cover bracket with the bolt.

   Torque:

   10 N*m  { 102 kgf*cm, 7 ft.*lbf }
