DISPOSE OF REAR SHOCK ABSORBER ASSEMBLY
Fully extend the rear shock absorber rod.
Using a drill, make a hole in the cylinder between A and B shown in the illustration to discharge the gas inside.
CAUTION:
Be careful as the cylinder is a high-pressure gas type which is at a higher pressure than normal shock absorbers. Also be careful as the pressure in the cylinder becomes even higher at high temperature.
Be careful when drilling because shards of metal may fly about. Always use the proper safety equipment.
Note
The gas is colorless, odorless and nonpoisonous.
