REAR AXLE HUB BOLT REPLACEMENT


  1. REMOVE REAR WHEEL

  2. DISCONNECT REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

      Hold the rear disc brake cylinder slide pins and remove the 2 bolts and rear disc brake cylinder assembly.

  3. REMOVE REAR DISC

      Place matchmarks on the rear disc and axle hub.

    2. Release the parking brake.

      Turn the shoe adjuster until the disc turns freely, and then remove the rear disc.

    4. Install the shoe adjusting hole plug to the rear disc.

  4. REMOVE REAR AXLE HUB BOLT


    1. A01FGGPE01

      Using SST, remove the rear axle hub bolt.

      SST
      09628-10011

      Note

      Do not damage the threads of the hub bolts.

  5. INSTALL REAR AXLE HUB BOLT

      *1 Nut (M12 x P1.5 mm)
      *2 Washer
      *a Turn
      *b Hold

      Install a washer and nut to a new bolt as shown in the illustration.

    2. Using a screwdriver or an equivalent to hold the hub and bearing assembly, install the rear axle hub bolt by tightening the nut.

      Note

      Do not damage the threads of the hub bolts.

  6. INSTALL REAR DISC

      Align the matchmarks of the rear disc and axle hub and install the rear disc.

      Note

      When replacing the rear disc with a new one, select the installation position where the rear disc has the smallest runout.

  7. ADJUST PARKING BRAKE SHOE CLEARANCE

  8. INSTALL REAR DISC BRAKE CALIPER ASSEMBLY

      *b Turn

      Hold the rear disc brake cylinder slide pins and install the rear disc brake cylinder assembly to the disc brake cylinder mounting with 2 new bolts.

      Torque:
      27 N*m  { 270 kgf*cm, 20 ft.*lbf }
  9. INSTALL REAR WHEEL

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
