  • When both of the following are detected:


    • The torque-distribution ratio of the differential clutch exceeds the set value.

    • The vehicle is driven with tires different in size between the front and rear.


  • Tire size

  • Brake control system

  • Suspension or drivetrain-related parts

  • 4WD ECU assembly

  • Automatic with transfer transmission assembly

  1. CHECK TIRE CONDITION


    1. Check the size and condition of all 4 tires Click here.

      Tech Tips

      This DTC is output when tire deformation or a difference in tire size is detected.

      OK
      The diameter and air pressure of all 4 tires are the same.

  2. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTC Click here.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Drive the vehicle at a speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more and check that no brake control system DTCs are output Click here.

  3. READ VALUE USING GTS (WHEEL SPEED)


    1. Connect the GTS to the DLC3.

    2. Start the engine.

    3. Enter the following menus: Chassis / Four Wheel Drive / Data List Click here.

    4. Check that the speed values detected at all four wheels displayed on the GTS are the same when driving the vehicle.

      The same vehicle speed detected at all four wheels must be indicated on the GTS.

  4. CHECK RELATED PART


    1. Inspect the suspension and ball joint, etc. for rattle.

    2. Inspect the driveshaft and propeller shaft rotation condition.

  5. RECONFIRM DTC


    1. Clear the DTC Click here.

    2. Turn the engine switch off.

    3. Start the engine.

    4. Drive the vehicle at the speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more and check that same DTC is output.

  6. REPLACE 4WD ECU ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the 4WD ECU assembly Click here.

    3. Start the engine.

    4. Drive the vehicle at the speed of 20 km/h (12 mph) or more and check that same DTC is output.
