TRANSFER VALVE BODY ASSEMBLY INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT TRANSFER CONTROL SOLENOID ASSEMBLY

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 - 2 20°C (68°F) 5.0 to 5.6 Ω

    2. Connect a positive (+) lead with a 21 W bulb to terminal 1 and a negative (-) lead to terminal 2 of the transfer control solenoid assembly connector, and then check the operation of the solenoid.

      OK
      The solenoid operates and an operating sound is heard.

      If the resistance is not within the specified range, replace the transfer control solenoid assembly.
