AFS (ADAPTIVE FRONT-LIGHTING SYSTEM) LVL Terminal Circuit

DESCRIPTION

• By connecting terminals LVL and CG of the DLC3, the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) initializes the height control sensor signal.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - AFS ECU (HEADLIGHT SWIVEL ECU ASSEMBLY))

   
   

   1. Disconnect the A35 AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) connector.

   2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition A35-7 (SPDL) - I39-8 (LVL) Always Below 1 Ω A35-7 (SPDL) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

   
   

   NG

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

   OK

2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (DLC3 - BODY GROUND)

   
   

   1. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition I39-4 (CG) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

   
   

   NG

   REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

   OK
