AFS (ADAPTIVE FRONT-LIGHTING SYSTEM), Diagnostic DTC:B2412, B2413

DESCRIPTION

Each swivel motor receives operation signals from the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) and sends signals indicating the direction of the headlight and condition of the headlight swivel motor to the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly).

1. CHECK FOR DTC

      DTC B2412 or B2413 is not output.

   
   

   NG

   PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER Click here

   USE SIMULATION METHOD TO CHECK Click here

2. PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER

   
   

   1. Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.

   2. Start the engine.

   3. Turn the intelligent tester on.

   4. Enter the following menus: Body / AFS / Active Test.

   5. Check that the swivel motors operate.

      Tech Tips

      DTC B2412 or B2413 is stored when the AFS ECU (headlight swivel ECU assembly) receives a signal indicating an abnormality from a headlight swivel motor. It is not possible to judge whether a headlight swivel motor is normal using an Active Test, because even if the motor operates normally during the Active Test, it may still output a signal indicating an abnormality.
