SEAT HEATER SWITCH (for Front Seat) INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (for LH)


    1. Check the seat heater switch.

        Component without harness connected

        (Seat Heater Switch (for LH))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        8 - 6 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        8 - 6 ON 350 Ω to 3.4 kΩ
        8 - 3 ON Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for LH).

    2. Check that the LED illuminates.

        Apply battery voltage to the seat heater switch (for LH) and check that the LED illuminates.

        Standard
        Measurement Condition Switch Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 7

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 2

        - LED illuminates

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 8

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 4

        ON

        If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for LH).

  2. INSPECT SEAT HEATER SWITCH (for RH)


    1. Check the seat heater switch.

        (Seat Heater Switch (for RH))

        Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

        Standard Resistance
        Tester Connection Switch Condition Specified Condition
        7 - 5 OFF 10 kΩ or higher
        7 - 5 ON 350 Ω to 3.4 kΩ
        7 - 2 ON Below 1 Ω

        If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for RH).

    2. Check that the LED illuminates.

        Apply battery voltage to the seat heater switch (for RH) and check that the LED illuminates.

        Standard
        Measurement Condition Switch Condition Specified Condition

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 6

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1

        - LED illuminates

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 7

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 3

        ON

        If the result is not as specified, replace the seat heater switch (for RH).
