DESCRIPTION
The combination meter assembly communicates with the ECM and skid control ECU via the CAN communication system. The combination meter calculates the current fuel consumption based on a vehicle speed signal from the skid control ECU, a fuel injection signal from the ECM.

PERFORM ACTIVE TEST USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (FUEL CONSUMPTION METER OPERATION)
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the intelligent tester on.
Enter following menus: Body / Combination Meter / Active Test.
Check the operation by referring to the table below.

READ VALUE USING INTELLIGENT TESTER (VEHICLE SPEED, INJECTION VOLUM)
Connect the intelligent tester to the DLC3.
Turn the ignition switch to ON.
Turn the intelligent tester on.
Enter the following menus:
for ABS/VSC/TRC: Chassis / ABS/VSC/TRC / Data List.
for Engine and ECT: Powertrain / Engine and ECT / Data List.
Check the values by referring to the table below.

Tech Tips
When the Data List values of the ECUs match, an internal malfunction of the combination meter assembly is suspected.
When the Data List values of the ECUs do not match, a signal output error of the skid control ECU or an internal malfunction of the combination meter assembly is suspected.
