PERSONAL LIGHT INSPECTION


  1. INSPECT ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY

      Component without harness connected

      (Roof Console Box Assembly)

      Inspect the personal lights.


      1. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 9 (B) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (GND) or 6 (CTY).

        Result

        9 (B) - 1 (GND) Interior light on/off switch off and personal light switches off Personal light LH and RH do not come on
        Interior light on/off switch off and personal light switch LH on Personal light LH comes on
        Interior light on/off switch off and personal light switch RH on Personal light RH comes on
        Interior light on/off switch on and personal light switches off Personal light LH and RH comes on
        9 (B) - 6 (CTY) Interior light door switch off and personal light switches off Personal light LH and RH do not come on
        Interior light door switch off and personal light switches on Personal light LH and RH do not come on
        Interior light door switch on and personal light switches off Personal light LH and RH comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the bulb or roof console box assembly.

    2. Inspect the center console spot light.


      1. Connect a positive (+) lead from the battery to terminal 8 (ILL) and a negative (-) lead to terminal 1 (GND).

        Result
        Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
        1 (GND) - 8 (ILL)

        Battery positive (+) → Terminal 8 (ILL)

        Battery negative (-) → Terminal 1 (GND)

        		 Center console spot light comes on

        If the result is not as specified, replace the roof console box assembly.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      1 (GND) - 7 (SIG) Personal light switches off and interior light on/ off switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      Personal light switches off and interior light on/ off switch on Below 1 Ω
      6 (CTY) - 7 (SIG) Interior light door switch off 10 kΩ or higher
      Interior light door switch on Below 1 Ω

      If the result is not as specified, replace the roof console box assembly.
