LIGHTING SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. ILLUMINATED ENTRY SYSTEM


    1. The illuminated entry system has the following control functions:

      Control Outline Lights that Operate
      Actuation Area-linked*1 When a registered key enters any actuation area around the doors, the lights that operate turn on.
      • Engine Switch Illumination

      • Personal Light

      • Rear Interior Light

      When a registered key leaves all of the actuation areas around the doors, the lights that operate turn off.
      Door Lock/Unlock-linked When any door is unlocked, the lights that operate turn on.
      • Engine Switch Illumination*1

      • Ignition Key Cylinder Light*2

      • Personal Light

      • Rear Interior Light

      • Inside Handle Illumination Light

      When all doors are locked, the lights that operate turn off.
      Door Open/Close-linked When any door is opened, the lights that operate turn on.

      • Personal Light

      • Rear Interior Light

      • Inside Handle Illumination Light

      When all doors are closed, the lights that operate turn off.
      Engine Switch-linked*1 When the engine switch is turned from on (ACC or IG) to off, the lights that operate turn on.

      When the engine switch is turned from off to on (ACC or IG), the lights that operate turn off.

      Ignition Switch-linked*2 When the ignition switch is turned from ON or ACC to off, the lights that operate turn on.
      • Ignition Key Cylinder Light

      • Personal Light

      • Rear Interior Light

      When the ignition switch is turned from off to ON or ACC, the lights that operate turn off.
      When the ignition switch is turned from off to ON, the lights that operate turn on. Inside Handle Illumination Light
      Shift Position-linked When the ignition switch is ON and the shift lever is moved out of P, the lights that operate dim. Inside Handle Illumination Light
      Delay

      When approximately 15 seconds elapse after any of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off:


      • An actuation area-linked function is used.*1

      • The door unlock-linked function is active.

      • Any door is opened and then all doors are closed when the ignition switch is off.


      • Engine Switch Illumination*1

      • Ignition Key Cylinder Light*2

      • Personal Light

      • Rear Interior Light

      When approximately 15 seconds elapse after any of the following conditions is met, the lights that operate turn off:


      • The door unlock-linked function is active.

      • Any door is opened and then all doors are closed when the ignition switch is off.

      Battery Saving

      When 20 minutes elapse after the ignition switch is turned from on (ACC) or on (IG) to off and the lights that operate remain on, the lights are turned off.

      Tech Tips

      Battery saving control is canceled when any of the following operations is performed before the lights are turned off by battery saving control. After the operation is performed, the lights remain on for another 20 minutes and then the lights are turned off.


      • The ignition switch is turned on (ACC) or on (IG)

      • Any door is opened and closed

      • The luggage compartment door is opened and closed

      • Any door is unlocked

      • The key enters any exterior actuation area
