DESCRIPTION

This DTC is stored when the blind spot monitor sensor RH detects an open in the outer rear view mirror indicator RH.

    When either of the following conditions is met:

  • Blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.


  • The current flowing to the indicator is below a specified value when indicator operation voltage is being sent to the indicator.

  • Outer rear view mirror RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH)

  • Outer rear view mirror assembly RH

  • Wire harness or connector

  • Blind spot monitor sensor RH

  • Outer mirror control ECU assembly RH

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

Note

When checking for DTCs, make sure that the blind spot monitor main switch (warning canceling switch assembly) is on.

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

    NG

    CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH, BODY GROUND - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH) Click here

  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (BLIND SPOT MONITOR SENSOR RH, BODY GROUND - OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH)


    1. Disconnect the O43 blind spot monitor sensor RH connector.

    2. Disconnect the J10 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      O43-4 (OMIR) - J10-10 (BDSR) Always Below 1 Ω
      J10-7 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω

    NG

    REPAIR OR REPLACE HARNESS OR CONNECTOR

    OK

  3. INSPECT OUTER MIRROR CONTROL ECU ASSEMBLY RH


    1. Disconnect the z17 outer mirror control ECU assembly RH connector.

      Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      J10-7 (GND) - z17-12 (BSM-) Always Below 1 Ω

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR ASSEMBLY RH - OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR RH (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR RH))


    1. Disconnect the IND2 outer rear view mirror RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH) connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      z17-7 (BSM+) - IND2-1 (+) Always Below 1 Ω
      z17-12 (BSM-) - IND2-2 (-) Always Below 1 Ω

  5. INSPECT OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR RH (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR RH)


    1. Remove the outer rear view mirror RH (outer rear view mirror indicator RH) Click here.

    2. Inspect the outer rear view mirror indicator RH on the outer rear view mirror RH Click here.

    REPLACE OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR RH (OUTER REAR VIEW MIRROR INDICATOR RH)) Click here

  6. CHECK DTC


    1. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check if the same DTC is output again.
