DESCRIPTION

The navigation receiver assembly and cooler control switch assembly are connected via AVC-LAN communication lines.

This DTC is stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs between the navigation receiver assembly and cooler control switch assembly.

When either of the following conditions is met:


  • Cooler control switch assembly is not connected while the ignition switch is ON or ACC.

  • Communication between the master unit and the cooler control switch assembly is not possible when the engine is started.


  • Cooler control switch assembly power source circuit

  • AVC-LAN circuit between navigation receiver assembly and cooler control switch assembly

  • Cooler control switch assembly

  • Navigation receiver assembly

  • Harness or connector

  1. CHECK OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Check for optional components


      1. Check that optional components (including associated wiring) which generate radio waves are not installed.

      Tech Tips


      • Electrical noise from radio waves generated by optional components or the wiring for those components may affect AVC-LAN communication.

      • This DTC may be stored when an AVC-LAN communication error occurs due to electrical noise.

  2. REMOVE OPTIONAL COMPONENTS (INCLUDING ASSOCIATED WIRING)


    1. Remove optional components (including associated wiring).

      Note

      Do not remove optional components or associated wiring without the permission of the customer.

    2. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

  4. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (COOLER CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY POWER SOURCE)


    1. Disconnect the X1 cooler control switch assembly connector.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance

      X1-16 (GND) - Body ground Always Below 1 Ω
    3. Measure the voltage according to the value(s) in the table below.

  5. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - COOLER CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY)


    1. Disconnect the I67 navigation receiver assembly connector.

    2. Disconnect the X1 cooler control switch assembly connector.

    3. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I67-7 (TX1+) - X1-15 (TX+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I67-8 (TX1-) - X1-5 (TX-) Always Below 1 Ω
      I67-7 (TX1+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I67-8 (TX1-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  6. REPLACE COOLER CONTROL SWITCH ASSEMBLY


    1. Replace the cooler control switch assembly with a new or known good one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      No DTCs are output.
