INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE

  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (NAVIGATION RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

    1. Disconnect the I64 and I65 navigation receiver assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the I83 and I1 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Disconnect the O18 and O21 rear speaker assembly connectors.

    4. Measure the resistance between the navigation receiver assembly and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
I64-1 (FR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I64-5 (FR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I64-2 (FL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I64-6 (FL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I65-1 (RR+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I65-3 (RR-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I65-2 (RL+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I65-6 (RL-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG
    OK
  2. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY - BODY GROUND)

    1. Disconnect the J5 and K5 front No. 1 speaker assembly connectors.

    2. Disconnect the I83 and I1 front No. 2 speaker assembly connectors.

    3. Measure the resistance between each of the front No. 2 speaker assemblies and body ground to check for a short circuit in the wire harness.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
I83-3 (+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I83-1 (-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I1-3 (+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
I1-1 (-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

    NG
    OK
  3. INSPECT FRONT NO. 1 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

  5. REPLACE FRONT NO. 2 SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

    1. Replace the front No. 2 speaker assembly with a new or known good one Click here.

    2. Clear the DTCs Click here.

    3. Recheck for DTCs and check that no DTCs are output.

      OK
      No DTCs are output.

      Tech Tips

      • Connect all the connectors to the front No. 2 speaker assemblies that were disconnected.

      • When there is a possibility that either the right or left front No. 2 speaker assembly is defective, inspect by interchanging the right one with the left one.

      • Perform the above inspection on both the LH and RH side.

    NG
    OK
  6. INSPECT REAR SPEAKER ASSEMBLY

    1. Remove the rear speaker assembly Click here.
