AUDIO AND VISUAL SYSTEM (for Radio Receiver Type) Microphone Circuit between Microphone and Radio Receiver

DESCRIPTION

Using this circuit, the radio receiver assembly sends power to the roof console box assembly (telephone microphone assembly), and the roof console box assembly sends microphone signals to the radio receiver assembly.

INSPECTION PROCEDURE

PROCEDURE


  1. CHECK HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY - ROOF CONSOLE BOX ASSEMBLY (TELEPHONE MICROPHONE ASSEMBLY))


    1. Disconnect the radio receiver assembly and roof console box assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connectors.

    2. Measure the resistance according to the value(s) in the table below.

      Standard Resistance
      Tester Connection Condition Specified Condition
      I150-6 (SNS2) - S7-15 (SNS2) Always Below 1 Ω
      I150-4 (MACC) - S7-14 (MACC) Always Below 1 Ω
      I150-5 (MIN+) - S7-13 (MCO+) Always Below 1 Ω
      I150-19 (MIN-) - S7-12 (MCO-) Always Below 1 Ω
      I150-6 (SNS2) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I150-4 (MACC) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I150-5 (MIN+) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I150-19 (MIN-) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher
      I150-18 (SGND) - Body ground Always 10 kΩ or higher

  2. INSPECT RADIO RECEIVER ASSEMBLY


    1. Reconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.

    2. Reconnect the roof console box assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    1. Reconnect the radio receiver assembly connector.

      Reconnect the roof console box assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    3. Turn the ignition switch to ACC.

    4. Connect an oscilloscope to terminals 13 (MCO+) and 12 (MCO-) of the roof console box assembly (telephone microphone assembly) connector.

    5. Check the waveform of the telephone microphone assembly using the oscilloscope.
