TRANSMISSION WIRE INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL TRANSMISSION WIRE


    1. Coat a new O-ring with ATF and install it to the transmission wire.

    2. Install the transmission wire to the automatic transaxle assembly with the bolt.

      Torque:
      5.4 N*m  { 55 kgf*cm, 48 in.*lbf }

    3. Coat the O-ring of the ATF temperature sensor and bolt with ATF.

    4. Install the ATF temperature sensor with the lock plate and bolt.

      Torque:
      6.6 N*m  { 67 kgf*cm, 58 in.*lbf }

    5. Connect the 5 connectors to the transmission valve body assembly.

  2. INSTALL AUTOMATIC TRANSAXLE OIL PAN SUB-ASSEMBLY

      *1 Magnet

      Install the 2 magnets in the automatic transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

    2. Clean and degrease the bolt holes.

    3. Apply adhesive to 18 new bolts.

      Adhesive
      Toyota Genuine Adhesive 1344, Three Bond 1344 or equivalent.

    4. Install a new gasket and the automatic transaxle oil pan sub-assembly with the 18 bolts.

      Torque:
      7.8 N*m  { 80 kgf*cm, 69 in.*lbf }

      Note


      • Apply adhesive to the bolts and tighten them within 10 minutes of application.

      • Do not add ATF within 2 hours after installing the automatic transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.

      • Do not start the engine for at least 2 hours after installing the automatic transaxle oil pan sub-assembly.
