HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY INSTALLATION


  1. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.

    2. Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.

    3. Engage the hood cable grommet.

    4. Engage the 5 clamps and install the hood lock control cable assembly.

  2. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. Pass the hood lock control cable assembly into the engine compartment.

    2. Pass the cable through the upper radiator support.

    3. Engage the hood cable grommet.

    4. Engage the 4 clamps and install the hood lock control cable assembly.

  3. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for LHD)


    1. A01EUG6

      Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

    2. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

    3. Install the hood lock assembly with the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      The hood lock nut cap is a non-reusable part. Be sure to install it after performing the Inspect Hood Sub-assembly and Adjust Hood Sub-assembly steps.

    4. Connect the connector.

  4. INSTALL HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (for RHD)


    1. A01EW9P

      Apply MP grease to the sliding areas of the lock.

    2. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly.

    3. Install the hood lock assembly with the 2 bolts and hood lock bolt.

      Torque:
      7.5 N*m  { 76 kgf*cm, 66 in.*lbf }

      Tech Tips

      The hood lock nut cap is a non-reusable part. Be sure to install it after performing the Inspect Hood Sub-assembly and Adjust Hood Sub-assembly steps.

    4. Connect the connector.

  5. INSTALL HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Connect the hood lock control cable assembly and install the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  6. CONNECT HOOD LOCK CONTROL LEVER SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. Engage the claw and 2 guides to connect the hood lock control lever sub-assembly.

  7. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (for LHD)


    1. Engage the 2 clips.

    2. Install the cowl side trim sub-assembly LH with the clip.

  8. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE LH (for LHD)


    1. Engage the 10 claws to install the front door scuff plate LH.

  9. INSTALL COWL SIDE TRIM SUB-ASSEMBLY RH (for RHD)

  10. INSTALL FRONT DOOR SCUFF PLATE RH (for RHD)

  11. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER LH (for LHD)

  12. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD LH (for LHD)

  13. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL LH (for LHD)

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1049 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }

  14. INSTALL FRONT FENDER LINER RH (for RHD)


    1. Install the front fender liner RH with the 4 clips and 5 screws.

    2. Install 2 new grommets.

      Install the pin hold clip as shown in the illustration.

      Note

      Insert the pin hold clip with the slot aligned vertically. Do not rotate the clip after inserting it. After installation, confirm that the slot is aligned vertically.

    4. Install the clip.

  15. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL OPENING EXTENSION PAD RH (for RHD)


    1. Install the front wheel opening extension pad RH with the 3 screws.

  16. INSTALL FRONT WHEEL RH (for RHD)

    Torque:
    103 N*m  { 1049 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf }
