WINDSHIELD DEICER SYSTEM SYSTEM DESCRIPTION


  1. GENERAL

    The windshield deicer system uses thin heater wires attached to the inside of the windshield glass to help deice the window surface more quickly. An indicator light illuminates while the system is operating. The system automatically turns off after approximately 15 minutes.

  2. FUNCTION OF MAIN COMPONENT

    Component Outline
    DEICER Relay Receives windshield deicer activation request signals from the front wiper deicer switch and supplies power to the windshield glass (windshield deicer wire).
    Front Wiper Deicer Switch Sends windshield deicer activation request signals to the DEICER relay.
    Windshield Glass (Windshield Deicer Wire) Receives power from the DEICER relay and heats the windshield glass (windshield deicer wire).
