INSTRUMENT PANEL SAFETY PAD DISASSEMBLY


  1. REMOVE NO. 1 INSTRUMENT PANEL PIN


    1. Remove the 4 screws <C> and 4 No. 1 instrument panel pins.

  2. REMOVE INSTRUMENT PANEL PASSENGER AIRBAG ASSEMBLY

    CAUTION:

    When storing the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly, keep the airbag deployment side facing upward.

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. A01EWE6

      Lean the instrument panel safety pad assembly and disengage the 3 hooks.

    3. A01EWTV

      Disengage the 3 hooks to remove the instrument panel passenger airbag assembly from the instrument panel safety pad assembly.

  3. REMOVE NO. 1 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT (except LHD with Ion Generator)

      Remove the clip.

    2. Remove the 3 screws <C> and No. 1 heater to register duct.

  4. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT ASSEMBLY (for LHD with Ion Generator)

      Remove the clip.

    2. Remove the 3 screws <C>.

    3. Disengage the heater to register duct assembly from the ion generator assembly, to remove the heater to register duct.

  5. REMOVE NO. 3 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT (for LHD)

      Remove the clip.

    2. Remove the 3 screws <C> and No. 3 heater to register duct.

  6. REMOVE HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT ASSEMBLY (for RHD)

      Remove the clip.

    2. Remove the 3 screws <C>.

    3. Disengage the heater to register duct assembly from the ion generator assembly, to remove the heater to register duct.

  7. REMOVE ION GENERATOR SUB-ASSEMBLY WITH BRACKET (w/ Ion Generator)

      Remove the 3 screws and ion generator sub-assembly with bracket.

  8. REMOVE NO. 1 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT

      Remove the screw <C>.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 1 side defroster nozzle duct.

  9. REMOVE NO. 2 SIDE DEFROSTER NOZZLE DUCT

      Remove the screw <C>.

    2. Disengage the 2 claws to remove the No. 2 side defroster nozzle duct.

  10. REMOVE ANTENNA CORD SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. for LHD:


      1. Disengage the 8 clamps and remove the antenna cord sub-assembly.

    2. for RHD:


      1. Disengage the 10 clamps and remove the antenna cord sub-assembly.

  11. REMOVE DEFROSTER NOZZLE ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EXL8

      Remove the 3 screws <C>.

    2. Disengage the 2 guides to remove the defroster nozzle assembly.

  12. REMOVE NAVIGATION ANTENNA ASSEMBLY (w/ Navigation Antenna)

      Remove the 2 screws.

    2. Disengage the 2 clamps and remove the navigation antenna assembly.

  13. REMOVE NO. 2 HEATER TO REGISTER DUCT


    1. A01EUU4

      Remove the 2 screws <C> and No. 2 heater to register duct.

  14. REMOVE NO. 2 INSTRUMENT PANEL GARNISH SUB-ASSEMBLY


    1. A01EU2H

      Remove the 2 screws <C>.

    2. Apply protective tape to the areas shown in the illustration.

    3. Disengage the 6 clips for No. 2 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly lower part as shown in the illustration.

    4. Using a moulding remover, disengage the 8 clips to remove the No. 2 instrument panel garnish sub-assembly as shown in the illustration.
